Advising

Advising is the key to academic success.

In their first two years in the department, students will meet with Arts & Humanities Advisor in the Center for Advising and Student Success.. Once they have completed 58 credits, students will be assigned a regular department faculty advisor, whose name will appear on the student’s myBoiseState Student Center. Faculty advisors are available to assist students with a variety of academic issues and to provide advice on how to make the most of their time in the Art Department. We strongly encourage all students to consult with their assigned faculty advisor at least once each semester.

Please review the list of most frequently asked Advising questions (FAQs). It includes questions pertaining to our highly successful Internship program, Transfer credit approvals, degree checklists and many others.

Please pay close attention to these documents whether you are attending part-time or plan to graduate in four years. Also review the course descriptions in the catalog to determine if they require pre –requisites and if the course is repeatable for credit. Also, please be aware that certain courses are only offered in Spring OR Fall.
